Pilgrim A CDT Labs app

Made for Catholics

A journal of every church you’ve been to

Pilgrim puts 4,600 Catholic churches across the Philippines on one map. Check in when you visit, keep your photos and memories, and collect a badge for every province.

Coming soon to Google Play Free to download. Made in the Philippines by CDT Labs.
Pilgrim's home screen: Good afternoon, Maria — 9 of 4,600 churches visited, with her recent visits in Pampanga.

How it works

Three things, done simply. Large buttons, clear words, and a text size you can make bigger in Settings.

The Pilgrim map around San Fernando, Pampanga, dotted with churches. Gold dots are the ones already visited.

1Find a church

See the churches near you on the map, or type the name of a church or a town. Blue are still to visit; gold are yours.

San Guillermo Parish Church in Bacolor, Pampanga, in Maria's collection with her note: The church half-buried by lahar. Still takes my breath away.

2Check in

Tap the church when you’re there. Add a photo, a note to remember the day, and whether you heard Mass.

Pilgrim's badges: Pampanga bronze, silver and gold earned, platinum at 9 of 10 churches.

3Collect the badges

Bronze, silver, gold and platinum for every province — and badges for the traditions you keep.

Made for the way Filipinos visit churches

Not a prayer app — a record of where your faith has taken you, to keep and to share.

Visita Iglesia

Visit seven churches in a single day and Pilgrim marks it with its own badge.

Simbang Gabi

Nine days in a row, 16 to 24 December. Complete it and keep the badge.

The great churches

Collections for the UNESCO Four — Paoay, Miag-ao, Santa Maria and San Agustin — every cathedral, and every minor basilica.

The story of each church

Read the history of a church before you go, or while you sit in the pew.

Visits you remember from years ago

Add the churches you’ve already been to, with the date you remember. Your collection doesn’t have to start today.

Share the moment

Every check-in makes a picture of your stamp to send to family on Messenger or Viber.

Your visits are yours

A record of where you pray is personal. Pilgrim treats it that way.

Your location stays with you

Pilgrim uses your location only to show you on the map and confirm a check-in. It is never collected or shared.

Backed up to your account

Your check-ins are kept safe in your account, so a new phone gets them all back when you log in.

Works when the signal doesn’t

No signal inside the church? Check in anyway. Pilgrim backs it up when you’re connected again.

Questions

Is Pilgrim free?

Pilgrim is free to download, and exploring every church on the map is always free. Your first 10 check-ins are free too. To keep collecting after that, it’s $10 a year.

Do I need an account?

Yes — a free CDT Labs account with your name, birthday and email. It keeps your check-ins backed up, and it’s one login for every CDT Labs app. Pilgrim never asks for payment details when you sign up.

Which churches are on the map?

About 4,600 Catholic churches, parishes, shrines and chapels across all 80 provinces of the Philippines, checked against the Catholic Church’s own diocesan directory. Some places are still being added.

I have an iPhone. Can I use it?

Yes. Open cdt-pilgrim.vercel.app in Safari, tap the Share button, then “Add to Home Screen”. Pilgrim is coming to Google Play first.

Can my family use it together?

Everyone has their own account and their own collection, even on a shared phone. Seeing each other’s stamps is coming.
