Three steps and you're running. Takes about a minute.

1. Find your licence key
   It's in the email receipt that just went to the address you paid with. If it isn't there within a couple of minutes, check your spam folder — that's where it usually is.
2. Install DogEar in Chrome
   Add DogEar to Chrome
3. Paste your key
   Open any YouTube video that has captions and click the DogEar button in the row under the video. When it asks for a licence key, paste yours in. You only ever do this once per computer.

If something isn't working

The DogEar button isn't there. Refresh the page. The button sits in the row with Like and Share, under the video.

It says the video has no captions. DogEar reads the transcript, so it only works on videos that have one. Most talks, lectures, tutorials and podcasts do. Music and a lot of livestreams don't.

Your key won't activate. Check for a stray space at the start or end when you pasted it. If it still refuses, email us — we can see what's wrong from our side.
