What Decoder is
Decoder is a browser extension that reads a work email you choose and uses an AI model to describe what it is asking, and that rewrites a draft you have written into a different register. It is a personal communication aid.
What it is not. Decoder is not a medical, diagnostic, therapeutic or accessibility-certified product. It makes no claim to assess, treat or accommodate any condition, and nothing it outputs is professional advice of any kind.
Using it
You agree not to:
- Use Decoder on correspondence you are not entitled to read.
- Use it to impersonate another person, or to produce messages intended to deceive the recipient about who wrote them.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, share licence keys publicly, or automate Decoder at scale.
- Interfere with the service or attempt to access parts of it you haven't been given access to.
You remain responsible for everything you send. Decoder suggests wording; pressing Send is your decision and your message.
Your employer's rules are yours to check
Some organisations restrict which tools may process their email. Whether Decoder is permitted on a given mailbox is between you and whoever owns that mailbox, and we cannot make that judgement for you.
Free allowance and paid plans
Each installation gets a fixed number of free messages. Decoding a message and adjusting a draft each count as one. After that, continued use requires a subscription. Paid plans include a monthly ceiling, stated on the pricing page, which exists to keep costs predictable — it is set far above normal use.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Refunds
If Decoder isn't working for you, email decoder@cdt.enterprises within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you. No argument required.
Accuracy
What a message is asking, when it is due, and how it will be received are judgements, and an AI model makes them imperfectly. A tone reading can be wrong. An implied deadline can be inferred where none exists. A rewrite can lose an emphasis you wanted.
Read what it gives you before acting on it, and read a rewritten draft before sending it. Where the stakes are real — legal, medical, financial, employment — do not let Decoder stand between you and the original words.
Availability
Decoder depends on Gmail's page structure and on third-party services. Any of those can change or break without notice, and Decoder may stop working as a result. We'll fix what we reasonably can, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service.
Liability
Decoder is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending access
We may suspend access for anyone abusing the service, in which case any unused portion of a subscription will be refunded.
Changes
These terms may change. The date above will be updated, and material changes will be published here before taking effect.
